You talkin' to me?

She's got attitude. No question. But look at that face! Those braids! The flag shirt that she wears EVERY time she can pull it out of the laundry. Sometimes she hides it from me so she can wear it again.

Mmmmm. Look at those eyes. Some might be fooled, but not me. I see right through it! You have to click on the picture to really get a good look ----- trouble! It's in there!

I Heart Faces * Feet week!

What? It's all about faces - usually! This week the theme is feet. At first I thought I would skip this week, but then I remembered this photo from 2007. I took it right after my dear friends welcomed their fourth child to this world...and their first girl! This became part of their Christmas card that year. It read "and then there were six." Fun.

Super Sweet

So if you've been around me for more than five minutes, you know I have two passions in life: babies, and taking photos. Thank you SO much to the W family for being great sports out at the IMA last night! We walked all around and they were game for anything I suggested. Oh - except the running jump/lift that I tried to get mom and dad to do. Maybe next time! Anyway - we had a great time and here are a few previews.

3 things you didn't know about me * MckLinky Blog Hop

***This is my first week participating in MckLinky Weekly Blog Hop. Should be fun!

So, I'm supposed to list three things you don't know about me. Could go many ways here.

1. I used to worry about the way I walked. Must have been around 7th, 8th grade. I thought I walked funny and was sure everyone else thought so too!

2. I used to plan to run away and take my younger sister with me. I would even pack a bag occasionally.

3. When I went to college I still thought everyone had good intentions, all of the Wesleyans at my university were perfect, and that I would meet the man I would marry there. None of that was true. Except I did meet my best friend/husband through someone I went to college with...so that was close. That's them above...been friends since the 2nd grade, those two. Now their kids are friends and they coach baseball together.***

I Heart Faces * Sports Week

This one was hard for me. My boys play baseball, baseball, and more baseball. I take pictures at all of their games, so I had hundreds of images to choose from and just couldn't decide. Anyway - love this one because it is action, it's tense, it's a play at the plate. Love those. Lots of great sports moments over at IHEARTFACES.com. Enjoy!

Happy 4th of July!

We live in a great neighborhood that is trying to bring back the "old neighborhood feel" to life. We gather in the cul-de-sac for halloween parties. Sack races. This year they brought back the annual bike parade. We had a fire truck, ambulance, 2 police escorts, and lots of red, white, and blue. Hot dogs and snacks followed. It's a great life and I'm glad my kids get to build these memories here.

Put me in coach...I'm ready to play

He caught it. I think.

Then he threw it. I'm sure.

He pitches, plays a mean center field, and can swing 2nd or short as well. He keeps telling us he's not playing baseball any more, but we'll see. That's what he said last year, too. He likes to do everything perfect and it just doesn't always pan out that way in baseball. It's neat to see him growing in his athletic ability and excelling. Plus, I like the uniform.
